Recovering from Successful Surgery

Well, the continuing saga of the broken leg (2007) is now coming to a successful conclusion. The last surgery was yesterday in which Dr. Mehan removed a plate from the top of my shin bone that was causing me distress…ok, it was sore and interfered with my golf game!

The procedure went perfect and all I have to show for it is a huge “train track” scar and screw holes in my shin. This should allow me more mobility for walking and less pain and swelling. You can also call me a ‘green’ environmentalist now as I have recycled some titanium which will be used, I am sure, for a new Nike golf driver!
