Nice to Know

I thought I would add a new picture of me in my rear yard lounging with the broken limb. Still can’t put pressure on the leg for 3 months but I am getting some mobility, thank the Lord. Getting bored of just laying around. Lots of time to reflect I guess and to delegate!

That’s right…I was on a getaway weekend with my wife and friends at Salt Spring Island and fell off a rented scooter and broke my left leg !

I now have my leg pinned and I am out of commission for least three months. Thank the Lord, I am set up at home in my home office and have all the technology, I need to continue in business.  The next step will be surgery and rehab.

I think I must to looked like a crash test dummy when I went flying over the handlebars. The good news is there is no other injuries and I will try post a picture for you.

best regards, Larry

Returned last week from a 5 day stay in Korea. It was business related and went very well and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide home packages for their 270 lot Development. I will keep you posted on our progress and you can see some pictures here.

I sold my first home in Real Estate!! Great couple, Brock and Jenn were looking for their very first home and bought a condo. Congratulations to you both and I think I will start a Real Estate blog next as I foresee I will be busy there as well.

I have learned in the last couple of years that developing residual streams of income is a great way to prepare for shortages in business and to prepare for retirement. We all know that we cannot depend on a Government pension to survive. In the next few blog entries, I will teach you how to get started and show you what works for me and hopefully inspire you to get started and grow an additional monthly income.

Stay tuned.

I have a new specialized Real Estate Site online…www.listwithlarry.com

I decided to invest in the MyRealPage system that includes daily updates of listings in our area through their VOW system (Virtual Office Website) that icludes real-time updates of new listing usually 2-3 days ahead of www.mls.ca This allows our clients to see listing well ahead of most buyers allowing them a distinct advantage in a competitive market.

This version of www.listwithlarry.com should be up by May 1st so check back.

I am flying to Calgary today to meet with a Korean Developer who flew to Canada to meet with us regarding panelized homes for his Development near Seoul, Korea.  I will update and let you know how it went.

Larry

Just returned from a week in Hawaii. Stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort on Oahu and it was great. Here is the link to the pictures. Enjoy and Aloha.

History was made March 13, 2007 as I left the exam room at the Sauder School of Business (Real Estate Division) with a confident step knowing that I had just passed the B.C. Real Estate Traders Course. The official mark came later and was 79%,  which believe me was a good mark as this exam was very hard.

I am know going to get the license activated and move forward in the new division of the Company. This will help with diversifying the Company and open new areas for servicing our future clients.

I was watching the news this morning and there is a new archaeological find that states they may have found the graves and caskets of Mary, Joseph, Jesus and Mary Magdalen. My understanding was this tomb was located over 20 years ago and was discounted but now they have new evidence that this may be in fact the bones and casket of Jesus and that He may have ad a son with Mary Magdalen.

When asked if they have now proven that Jesus did not in fact “raise from the dead in bodily form” , the response was they are just presenting facts for all to discuss and debate. Ok, so here’s my take.

I have never met Jesus personally and still call him my Savior and Lord. My life was changed from the inside when I asked Jesus to come into my life and change me. Whether or not I see bones of Jesus, which would be hard to see since he rose bodily from the grave, has no bearing on whether my life was spiritually changed in an instant back in 1981.

Man has been trying to discredit Jesus and God as long as I can remember. You see, if you can discredit the perfect, sinless life of Jesus you can justify your own lifestyle and sin and think you can take away the inner conviction of sin. No matter what so called “scholars” come up with with this new archaeological find,  it will not change who we are and what Jesus died for. To take upon Himself the sin of the world to reconcile man to God. That means making a way for you to have relationship with God.
I am more convinced today than ever that we are heading into the end times Prophesied in the bible and the good news that God will make Himself real in these times. I am seeing it now. It’s time add some more facts…”I was once lost but now I am found” !!

May God richly bless you and show you what the real truth is.

This is my first post for 2007 so Happy New Year to everyone. I am progressing through my Real Estate Course and have completed chapter 16 of 20. Should write the final exam in March. Math was a real eye opener for someone out of the algebra class of ‘78 !

I will be working with a great friend on mine, Brian Kirkwood and Prudential Realty in Langley will sponsor my license. Being a University credited course, it feels great to be able to accomplish this in a few months while still keeping the ‘hand on the wheel’ at Allpro.

My wife, Robin, and I are now the team leaders at the new Healing Rooms location in Langley B.C. If you have not heard of the Healing Rooms, you can read the history at their main website here. We are very excited about what God has in store for the people who come and for us. We love this Ministry and look forward to going every week.

Off to the International Builders Show on February 03rd for the week and it is always a great show to meet new clients and reacquaint myself with suppliers. The weather and golf is not too bad either!!

All the best for this year,

Larry

I just posted on our Company blog, www.blog.abshomes.com , about a competitor and the sales ploy they are using. This is one of the oldest tricks in the book and I think you will find my response interesting. It really affects all aspects of our consumer lives. Let me know your thoughts and feedback.

Larry

Can you relate to all the world using and striving for the perfect this and perfect that. The buzz word is “this is perfect” or as Martha would say, “this turned out perfect”. It puts allot of undue pressure on people. You know there would be no need for perfection if people were more forgiving. Don’t you agree?
