I am a firm believer in attending seminars, reading articles and books, to help improve my knowledge and to gain insight from other business people. This will hopefully allow me to avoid setbacks others have gone through and streamline our business here.
Attending seminars not only can be costly, they also mean that I have to block off time to attend and my time is very valuable right now. I have also had time where there were 2 or more seminars at the same time, so you miss one due to scheduling. Well the latest ingenious thing is ” The Virtual Seminar “. Can you imagine no travel costs and you can listen live at your time schedule and even order the MP3’s and trasncripts of the sessions you could not not listen in on. I have signed up for the November 10-17th online virtual seminar and so can you by clicking here . Some of the speakers include Kendra Todd (first female Trump apprentice winner), Senator Bob Graham, T. Harv Eker, Barbara DeAngelis, and 32 others. Registration started on September 26, 2006 and might be worth the look.

Can you relate to all the world using and striving for the perfect this and perfect that. The buzz word is “this is perfect” or as Martha would say, “this turned out perfect”. It puts allot of undue pressure on people. You know there would be no need for perfection if people were more forgiving. Don’t you agree?

I sometimes get inundated with offers for the next best thing, fasted thing, easy thing that will help improve my life. Allot of these offers promise quick money (and lots of it) for little or no effort and if I expend just a little energy, this system will be on “auto pilot”.
Let me tell you as a business owner and experienced marketing and sales person, there is no easy way or shortcut to success. It is all hard work and persistence. I do believe in training yourself and always learning as you never have all the answers. Sometimes you can glean a ‘nugget’ from a program mentioned above but in most cases, all it does is distract you and take you away from the direction you are on.
I know I mentioned success earlier and let me explain what it means to me. Success to me is when you set goals and move in the direction you feel led, and actually see growth and are surrounded by great people and mentors. I am in no way opposed to wealth and I know God isn’t either, ( Abraham and Solomon attest this this) , but if getting rich is the main goal, you will caught up in the ‘distractions’ mentioned earlier and lose focus.
So, if you get offers you believe might be worth exploring, use common sense and due diligence and ask yourself…”is this going to help the direction I am on or steer me away?” “Is this a proven system and sustainable?” “Is the person offering credible and why are they interested in helping me” “Can I learn something from this offer to help me grow?” “Where is the closest garbage can?”

P.S. A quote from Zig Ziglar I really live by…”help as many people as you can to get what they want and you will always get what you want”
We just returned from a week away in Palm Springs, California. I bought a timeshare at Club Trinidad last year (right in Palm Springs) and thought I should try it out. You will see a picture below of the resort. Really quaint and nice and they have put about 1.4 million dollars into exterior and interior reno’s and it was great. Very quite and the weather was 85-90 degree’s all week.

Did a round of golf at Cimarron Golf Club in Palm Springs. It was great and they had new grass from re-seeding so the course was in great shape. I have a couple of pictures below that I took. I would do this course again for sure. O.K., I shot an 80. Really.

Greetings to all!! I came to the conclusion that it was time for me to do a personal blog online and share some insights, reflections and what’s new in my life. Ido have a business blog at www.blog.abshomes.com , but this will have my personal slant. I hope you enjoy and are enlightened.
